Thursday
A year ago / I started this blog to give meaning to passing time. / In order to reach as many readers as possible / I chose to write in English. / From the very beginning / Julie joined me as "my personal linguistic editor". / We met daily on Skype / for editing sessions. / Without Julie this project would not have taken shape. / My dearest friend / I thank you from the bottom of my heart. / This is indeed the greatest gift I could receive from you. / ♥ ♥ ♥ /

Wednesday
A month has passed since Gil and I proofed the first print formats for my blog book / and it's time to move on to the next step. / The thing is / after our vacation / I don't remember exactly where we stopped off. / I've started working on the layout / hoping the pace picks up as I progress. /

Tuesday
My son chose to take German this year / and was delighted with the German-Hebrew Dictionary my sister / Karen / gave him for his birthday. / He spends hours memorizing / German words / and comparing them to English. / My contribution was telling him how at his age / we'd look up all the "dirty" words. / Not very educational / I'm afraid. /

Monday
Orit's young daughter read the movie's description to us / and the words / Sixties / Hippie / Woodstock / and Marijuana / took on a new meaning. / After seeing the movie / Annicka / Neta / Orit / and I / decided that we too / will have a Full Moon Party / in the spirit of the one Jane Fonda threw. /

Thursday
Walking the island / I notice the flora is much the same / as in Israel / when suddenly I see cyclamen. / At home cyclamen don't grow near the sea or where it's so hot. /

Monday
I always that Mamoushka's advice into consideration. / When I called before going on vacation / "Don't drink too much" / was what she advised. / But / on vacation / red wine / margaritas / diabolo menthe (non-alcoholic) / and bloody marys / are particularly irresistible / and anyway / how much is too much… /

Sunday
The thing about vacation / is to do everything very / very / slowly. / A dip in the sea / lounging / reading a little / but mostly gazing at the intoxicating sea. / Of all the activities offered / I've chosen / archery. /

Saturday
Finally a vacation! / The whole way to the island of Gregolimano / Greece / the flight / the bus / the ferry / was accented in myriad tones of blue. / We settled in our rooms / and found that the internet's iffy / maybe tomorrow / I'm told. / For the first time I'm not able to publish a post on time. /

Wednesday
Looking for a new project / I came across a blogger / who invites readers to "crochet-a-long" with her / and decided to join in. / A blanket is too big an undertaking for me / so I settled for a bag / which isn't easy either / I drop stitches / unravel / start again… / but / as I say to my students / you learn from mistakes. /
