Monday
I was almost home / and suddenly / out of nowhere / came this unbridled craving for falafel / and it's not like I'm a huge falafel fan. / So I stopped at Ma'abari's / our neighborhood falafel stand / and got falafel to go / even though street food is best when eaten in its authentic setting. /

ReplyDeleteI am enjoying Talia's blogs, and would
love to meet her, but it seems I already know her from all her
communications. They are short and to the point and place a
window on life's joys and sorrows.....And I delight in the neat
graphics. I like the predictability of the large rectangle and the
surprise of what she puts into the small squares.

Just wanted to add to the "crowded bus post" that here in the Desolate Diaspora there are just as many if not more "instructions" in and on public transport, as well as recorded and flashing electronic messages telling you where are and what to do about it, and large "public information" posters, mostly about diseases: HIV/AIDS, depression, ADD, and who to call if your child is a delinquent, if you have a drug addition, are a pregnant teenager, or are interested in participating in medical experiments ....
ReplyDeleteI'd take the driver yelling "mind the door" in Hebrew any day, gladly...
